Hello Friends,
You may recognise me from Thengguidetolondon.co.uk (subtle plug) where I write about my life in London as a Northerner aka how I do stuff without shelling out tonnes of money – you can take the girl out the North but you’ll never get the North out of me.

So why have I set up yet another blog?
Both my mental and physical health have become massively important to me. I briefly used to write about it on my blog as I found writing about my mental health incredibly therapeutic but it was taking over and swallowing up a lot of my London time. With that in mind I’ve decided to set up a completely new blog where I’ll use this platform to talk exclusively about my health.
Why Flat Whites and Fitness?
Well firstly it combines 2 of my favourite things but it also brings together what this blog is about. For me a coffee is a fantastic opportunity to talk and more people should do it. I’m no longer embarrassed or ashamed by my mental health and I’d happily tell my story to anyone over a soy flat white or any other plant based coffee. Therefore I hope this blog sparks conversation. I hope people read it and relate. I hope people reach out to me if they do relate. For me personally there has been nothing more rewarding than people who genuinely understand what I’m going through and often just being able to talk to someone has made me feel better. It’s also reduced me to tears a lot but this is more common when I’ve reached breaking point!

What’s in store?
Expect lots of posts as I take you on my fitness journey, updates on my 6 week achievements and how I’m improving my nutrition and strength. From that expect lots of exciting recipes and open food diaries because I will no longer be ashamed when I have a slice of cake. Fitness routines, how I’ve overcome my challenges and even what I’m struggling with as I’m struggling; expect it all.
So all that’s left to say is thank you for coming on this journey with me and watch out for updates.
Chloe
